Pierre Hardy, French accessories designer and luxury sneakers trailblazer, unveils a new collaboration with Victor Cruz, TV personality, NFL Super Bowl Champion and cultural influencer.
Motivated by their genuine friendship, as well as a mutual appreciation for meaningful design, this new collaboration is a metaphor. It expresses what it is like to walk in the retired NFL athlete’s shoes, as a Black and Latino man in the Western world today.
The Black Lives Matter movement shook the world in the summer of 2020, this design is a reflection of the cultural shift that is actively taking place, and intended to provoke dialogue through design. Built around the imperative topics of equality, equity and inclusion, the concept artfully weaves in the colors and stories of Cruz in the U.S. and Hardy in Paris.
